The DH2026 visual identity brings together motifs from Daejeon, Korean culture, and Digital Humanities under the theme of Engagement. Its symbol and logotype express a shared commitment to global collaboration, cultural diversity, and practical solidarity.
Symbol Mark: Engagement
The symbol centers on Hanbit Tower, a landmark in Daejeon Expo Science Park beside the conference venue. It connects the identity to the host city while evoking knowledge, creativity, and the future of Digital Humanities.
The surrounding curve draws inspiration from Sangmo Nori, the spinning ribbon hats used in traditional Korean farmers' music performances. Its flowing movement represents harmony, lively exchange, and collaboration across disciplines.
Inspired by Hanbok, the gradient blends yellow, blue, green, and pink to express hope, harmony, and openness to cultural and disciplinary diversity. A dark green base reflects an affinity with nature in traditional Korean color aesthetics.
Logotype
Based on Google's Noto Sans, the logotype pairs a modern sans-serif form with clear readability. Designed to complement the symbol mark, it provides a consistent, recognizable identity across international and multilingual media.
